I built these three websites myself to put Local SEO theory into practice in real competitive markets. They’re my proof of method, not client work.

ℹ️ These are self-initiated test projects I own and manage. I chose competitive niches in the UK and USA intentionally — ranking in these markets is a meaningful demonstration of Local SEO skill.

🎯 Project context

Personal test site targeting the plastering niche in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Built from scratch to test whether solid on-page Local SEO fundamentals could reach Page 1 in a real UK local market with no existing authority.

This site ranks on Page 1 of Google for its primary target keywords and other relevant keywords in the Barnsley area. It demonstrates that methodical keyword research, structured service pages, and local on-page signals are enough to rank a brand-new site in a genuine competitive local market.

What I implemented
  • Local keyword research targeting Barnsley + surrounding South Yorkshire terms
  • Designed and built the entire website from scratch on WordPress.
  • Service page architecture: rendering, skimming, dry lining, floor screeding
  • Full on-page optimisation: title tags, meta, H-tag hierarchy, schema markup

A second consecutive ranking result using the same core framework: thorough local keyword research, service-structured pages, clean on-page signals, and GBP optimisation. Proves the method is repeatable across different niches and geographies.
